Urban Renewal

When driving Brett to work each morning I glance up and down the small shops along St. George Boulevard. One shop has continually caught my eye, so yesterday I decided to venture inside.

The store is called Urban Renewal and is filled with old vintage trinkets, furniture, clothes, pictures and decorating treasures.

I spent over an hour walking around and exploring every nock of the store and found a cute sign for the baby's nursery and a throw pillow for the new house. I love this store!

A Walk In the Park

Today Brett and I decided to take a Saturday drive and explore the area around our house. St. George is great because it only took us 3 minutes until we found a fun outdoor playground.



We climbed and explored a bit before stumbling upon this open walkway. Little did we know what this "walkway" would actually turn into. Here is Brett enjoying our walk.



As we got a closer look, we realized the space was becoming tighter . . .



and tighter . . .



It probably wasn't the best idea for a 15 week pregnant woman to squeeze through the cracks of the cave, but I made it out the other end! I'm sure in a few months my belly won't allow anything like this.

We can't wait to take our friends and family to this red rock area and see if they can make it through the walkway.

One Year Anniversary

New Year's Eve Brett and I celebrated our one year anniversary! We went back to the Denver Temple where we were married and had a wonderful time.

Brett also had a few surprises up his sleeve. After handing me a bouquet of roses he took me back to the hotel we stayed at last year on 16th Street Mall.

It was a fun evening full of good food and bright fireworks. What a great way to begin a new year together!

A New Life

Well, Brett and I did it, we graduated from college! We are so excited for our new life ahead of us. Brett just got a job in St. George, Utah and we can't wait to settle down in that little town.

So as new graduates with a new job in a new year, we also have another new life to add to ours! If you haven't heard yet, Brett and I are expecting a sweet little baby July 19th! Here is our first ultrasound we had before Christmas. We couldn't be happier!

A few Updates

I realize it's been months since we've updated our blog, and we are still in the middle of blog switching, not to mention life is crazy with school and work. I don't have any fun pictures to post, but here is a small update:

+ I got a real job as a technical/creative writer for a company in American Fork
+ Brett is busy job interviewing--who knows where we will end up
+ We are eager to graduate in December--only 7 weeks left!
